Ryumon Natural Shirasaya Sword Hand Forged Katana with Wood Box

JUDUL

The Shirasaya styled katana literally translated means white katana, implying a featureless katana bearing little decoration. Running 41 inches overall when housed in the lacquered polished natural wood saya (scabbard), the koiguchi (scabbard mouth) has been constructed from the finest buffalo horn and contrasts nicely against the natural wood grain. The blade has been constructed from high carbon steel and retains a very sharp hand sharpened edge. The Redwood Shirasaya is decorated with a thick hi (blood groove) and forged using full tang methods with real mekugi (sword pegs). Included is a lined large wooden display box (48Lx8Wx4H) bearing a dragon and kanji, maintenance cleaning kit, black cotton sword bag and reference guide, along with a stylized certificate of authenticity. Measures 41 inches closed, 39.5 inches overall with a 29 inch blade length, 18/64 blade thickness. Weighing 2lbs and 12 ounces closed, and 1lb 14 ounces open.
